My Land

Wondered Had I always
About the Land
Far and unreachable
And beautiful it would be
Was my belief.

Not that belief has been shattered
Not that it is not the way I had dreamt
But then something unknown
Tells me
Good was the motherland
Where I was born
And reared and grown

Might be the amenities less
And facilities low
Make me restless sometimes
But then
That was my land
And I had something Which I can say is my own
